Daniel Kelley McBride

Dan McBride is a father, husband, singer, and dog lover. He was born in Hayward, California and raised in Boise, Idaho. After high school, he had a career as an electrical contractor for over 20 years. He then earned Associate and Bachelor of Science degrees at Boise State University, and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Pacific University. Next, Dan practiced medicine as a Physician Assistant, primarily in pain management, in Washington, Oregon, and California. His most recent accomplishments were retiring in 2021 and moving from Palm Springs California to Portugal with his husband Timm and dog Bubba. Dan’s 2023 book “So You Want to Move to Portugal - Your Ultimate Guide to Retiring in Portugal” shares tips they learned in that process. Dan’s interests include singing, cars, travel, cooking, home improvement and writing. He has spent many years singing in men’s choruses.
